Born in Buffalo, New York, Dean obtained is undergraduate degree at the University of South Florida and his Juris Doctorate at Southwestern School of Law in downtown Los Angeles. From the start of his career, Dean opted not to defend insurance companies and instead to fight them and obtain what rightfully belongs to those who have been injured by the negligence of others. Since moving to Las Vegas nearly three decades ago, Dean has established a reputation as one of Nevada’s premier personal injury attorneys.

Dean has handled some of the largest personal injury cases in Nevada history. As co-counsel, Dean was instrumental in successfully resolving two individual cases in the last several years where both plaintiff’s received an excess of $26,000,000.

Dean has over 31 years of experience and worked as a law clerk for Nevada District Court Judge, Jack Lehman and Nevada Supreme Court Justices, Charles E. Springer and E.M. “Al” Gunderson. Despite his busy schedule, Dean makes time to spend with his wife and his two beautiful daughters.

Marc Naron is an associate attorney at D.R. Patti & Associates that focuses on personal injury litigation. He has practiced for the past ten years in Las Vegas as an attorney, successfully resolving numerous cases via settlement, arbitration, and trial. He represents injured clients involved in all manner of cases, including automobile accident, slip and fall, and other premises liability accidents.

Prior to joining D.R. Patti & Associates, Marc practiced across various fields of law, including family law, criminal defense, bankruptcy and construction defect litigation. The majority of his practice has always focused on personal injury. He began his career working on behalf of insurance companies to defend these cases. He now greatly enjoys using the experience he gained in that position to obtain tremendous results for his injured clients.

Marc is an avid sports fan and loyal to the Los Angeles Dodgers and Las Vegas Golden Knights. Besides rooting for his home teams, Marc enjoys using his Jedi mind-trick skills to beat players in Texas Hold’em.

Troy Clark

A native Oregonian, born in Fontana California, Troy is a former insurance defense attorney with 14 years’ experience defending civil litigation cases. Troy is now fighting for his clients against the insurance companies to help them obtain the compensation they are rightfully entitled to when they are injured by the negligence of others.

Troy is a member of the bar in both Oregon and Nevada. He passed the Oregon Bar in 2008 and the Nevada Bar in 2009. He graduated from University of Oregon in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. Prior to his career in the legal industry, he worked in the finance industry for banks and credit unions.

Troy obtained his Juris Doctorate from Willamette College of Law in Salem, Oregon in 2008. While attending law school, he was active in Moot Court, and served as the Treasurer of the Willamette Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta.

Troy has extensive experience litigating cases from pre-litigation through trial. Troy also represents his clients through post-trial motion work and appeals.

David Bembas

David Bembas an associate attorney at D.R. Patti & Associates, passed away in 2023. He practiced law in Las Vegas for three years, successfully resolving numerous cases. He represented injured clients involved in various cases, including automobile accidents, slip and fall incidents, and other premises liability accidents.

Prior to joining D.R. Patti & Associates, David practiced across multiple fields of law, including family law, criminal defense, estate planning, and probate. However, the majority of his practice always focused on personal injury.

Maria Loventime

Maria graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with two bachelor’s degrees. From then, she earned her Juris Doctorate from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii, graduating cum laude in 2001. While in law school, she honed her writing and trial skills by serving as editor-in-chief of the Asian-Pacific Law & Policy Journal and an editor of the school’s law review. She also participated in the Jessup International Law Moot Court Team as both brief writer and oralist, the Thomas Tang National Moot Court Competition sponsored by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association as both brief writer and oralist, and the International Environmental Moot Court Competition as a brief writer.

The day after graduating from law school, Maria moved to Las Vegas, where soon after she provided pro bono services briefly for the Clark County Special Public Defender’s office. She has since honed her litigation skills in diverse legal fields, from personal injury, premises liability, civil rights, surety law, commercial litigation, and contract disputes. In that time, she has accumulated millions of dollars in settlements and awards on behalf of her clients. She also served as an instructor on a variety of legal subjects at a local college, where she enjoyed passing on her passion and knowledge of the law.

Maria has always been passionate about the law, justice, and advocacy. Her heroes, such as Gerry Spence and Clarence Darrow, are those who have used their legal and oratory skills to obtain justice for their clients. Her passion is evident in both her writing and in oral arguments and in trial. Her passion extends to fulfilling her obligations to her clients, which is her primary duty as an advocate. Because of her passion for justice, she chooses clients who have been wronged in some way or another.

To better serve her clients in pursuit of justice through the courts, Maria continues to sharpen her trial skills through in-depth, on-location seminars with giants in the legal field. She first earned an Advocate certificate from the acclaimed National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA). She then returned to earn a Master Advocate certificate. Most recently, Maria graduated from the selective Gerry Spence Trial Lawyer’s College, where she had the joy and unique opportunity to learn from one of the best trial attorneys in the nation. Maria has earned the distinction of being the only attorney in Las Vegas who has graduated from both NITA programs and the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyer’s College.

In the little spare time she can find, Maria meditates, takes photography classes, and shoots portraits and street photography. Occasionally, she may practice the art of the bluff at a local Texas Hold ‘Em poker game.

Chris Cawlfield

Chris was born and raised in Colorado, but he has been a Las Vegas resident for nearly ten years where he has exclusively practiced personal injury law on the plaintiff’s side.

Chris has over ten years experience in personal injury law, including pre-litigation and litigation. In Las Vegas, Chris has settled and litigated numerous cases which resulted in an outstanding results for his clients. Such results include a seven-figure settlement for a premises liability case, a seven-figure settlement for a motor-vehicle collision, and many six figure settlements for various personal injury cases.

Chris obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of La Verne – College of Law (2011) and obtained his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Colorado – Boulder (2006). Chris is an active member of the California (2011), Colorado (2012) and Nevada bar (2015).

Aside from work, Chris enjoys golf, reading, traveling, poker, and rooting for the Denver Broncos.
